.. Last rain of summer has just stopped.
It's my part of the trade with *MoonsongWolf featuring her partner's golden tabby tiger persona. This is the first time I'm drawing a big cat digitally so I had to examine their body and fur a lot, and I was also having a really hard time with the concept and the colors - they just didn't work well together at all at first. That was when I had to take a look at some references and use them as a guide. That's also why I didn't want to submit this drawing to dA at first, because using lotsa references make me feel like such a bad artist :C But oh well, if it starts bothering me again I'll see what I can do. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this piece! We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. ps don't feel bad using references! Artists are encouraged to use as many references as possible to make the BEST image. (as long as the references are photos, and you don't copy them so exactly that its plagiarism xD)

But I love the background. Wow, all the sparkles. The sky is gorgeous. And I love your leaves. :c -envious- And the fur (like on the back of the front leg and the belly) is so cute. -pets- Big cats aren't so hard after a while you'd think, just like a dog, just takes practice. References are how you learn :] It doesn't make you a bad artist. I personally think you did a kickass job. :]
