Warning, BIG file!
This is the walkthrough / tutorial featuring my submission "Have Faythe" : [link] You can read more about CandyDogs here: [link] The techniques mentioned in this picture work best with Photoshop CS2 and Wacom tablet, with which the picture was made. I used several brushes for the bg, most of which were from this site: [link] Thank you! Note, This is about 30% about the picture's true size. This is not the only way to draw. This is just how I like it. If you have anything to ask, feel free to! I have all the step images with 100% in size as PSD files on my compy, and I'm more than willing to show them if they're of help for anyone! |

I think this might come in handy.
And I would've never guessed that you traced the lines before you colored it.

And those colors, I got them like that by using ridiculously lot of dodge, and then putting nebula brush on them so the dodge'd spot wouldn't look too bright. If that's what you meant :3
Oh yes, a friend of mine tried to tell me how I could use the original Background layer without tracing the lines but I never really got it, and well, I've used to do the tracing always before I start actually painting, so I don't mind
