Description
As someone might have noticed from my new icon, this was to be expected: fursona change! ... and the first thing is that I hereby mention that I have no fursona no more, Gurain is just my character and something to give me shape and form here at dA. C:
Anyway, it's been 4 years since I submitted my previous character sheet? Wow, honestly doesn't feel like that much time has passed. But I can tell you that I don't feel the 2006 Gurain as me anymore in any way - she's way too flashy and fluffy and all that. Not to mention the ref sheet is hideous XD [link]
So this is something I have planned when I grew apart form the previous design. First time in a long time do I feel the will to want to draw her - and I'm really happy about that. I mean, I loved the previous Gurain at the time, but time has passed and I want something more natural with a hint of originality. Thus, the faint pink color in the new Gur's ears and tail, which glow in the dark
About the character, she's a really basic red female Shiba, because I've long loved the breed and think their personality fits me well. She has dark blue eyes and extra pink markings, because I wanted to preserve something from the previous Gur. C:

Sorry that I start talking now but I must tell you why I love Gurain so much. She's now a Shiba and started as a Lappie (as seen in your gallery). My first dog was a Shiba, and she lived many years together with my Suomenlapinkoira, they were best friends. So Gurain's breed change is like my two dogs combined, so awesome <3 since my Shiba died, I have an Akita Inu now. Sorry again. But love Gurain and your beautiful art style!
